JCW believes that empowering women, and advocating for respect for human rights and democratic principles is crucial to ending occupation and creating a foundation for a just and lasting peace.

 

Our Mission

JCW is committed to advancing the rights of Palestinian women and developing their role in society, nation building and the peace process, while working to end oppression and human rights violations against all members of Palestinian society.

 

Our Goals

1. To protect and advance Palestinian women’s rights and status.

2. To train and educate Palestinian women to encourage and enhance their activities in community activism and politics.

3. To advocate for respect for human rights, an end to occupation and a just and lasting peace.

4. To raise awareness locally and internationally of human rights abuses committed by the Israeli occupation forces against all Palestinians, with a particular focus on women.

 

Our Values

Respect and Diversity We believe in the inherent dignity of all people, in a society where an individual’s opportunity is defined not by their gender, race, religion, or color but by their own ambition, potential and fundamental rights. JCW is a secular organization and respects and values all diversity.

Grassroots Solutions We believe in listening to the voices and experiences of the people we serve, and involving them in all levels of our work so our programs are sustainable, relevant and effective.

Women’s Empowerment means women realizing their potential - it changes lives, and can change society and our world. We believe women’s rights and gender equality are a core value of development, and important in all levels of society. It is crucial that women have a say in the decisions and policies that affect their lives.

Independent and Democratic JCW is governed and guided by democratic principles – we are independent of any government, political ideology, economic interest or religion.
