Join us for this special evening to learn more about the work of three prominent Maltese writers on themes of culture, identity, language, and post-colonialism.
Dr. Norbert Bugeja: an outstanding scholar on post-colonialist thought and literature with a focus on memoirs, is currently writing extensively on the work of Palestinian writer Mourid Barghouti.
Walid Nabhan: A Palestinian-Maltese writer has been named one of the European Union’s 2017 Prize for Literature winners. He is considered an integral well-established writer in Malta. He is the author of the Novel The Exodus of Storks which recounts his family’s experience of the Naksa. This novel has been recently translated from Maltese to Arabic.
Immanuel Mifsud: an award-winning poet and a writer, whose work has been translated and published in several languages, he is a champion on intercultural literature and how that shapes the Maltese literature.
